Happy Birthday to Me!

It was so nice to spend my birthday with my thirdborn! Meaning Joni, of course.

My birthday was March 17. Lisa's birthday (she's the secondborn) is March 7. I can hardly believe she's [deleted] years old! And Karen (she's the firstborn) is March 27. WOW, in just a week she'll turn [deleted]!

Hey, who's editing my blog? I can't keep up with this technology...

Later in the summer will be Jimmy's birthday - he'll turn (can I say it?) 46. And then Kenny - oh, what a wonderful son! And to think it will be his... wait, can that be right? I'll have to get back to you on that one.

Anyway, happy birthday to me!

My Visit to See Cullen!

I'm having a great time visiting Cullen in Virginia Beach. This is me and Cullen--he was enjoying his birthday present from Karen and Lisa. Kenny's going to post some more pictures soon. If you follow me on Twitter I'll update you as soon as they're up!

My Visit Down State

Hey everyone.. I'm back blogging. Been really busy with "facebook" and "my space" .. but decided it's time to get back to the blog!

I went down state to see my grand-dog -- sydney! It was a 10 hour drive.. but worth it.

While I was visiting .. I got a chance to go to my granddaughter Kelly's Bridal Shower!

  Ok,  I really came for the shower... and Kelly is a beautiful bride-to-be!

I saw lots of  family and friends... including my sister Ginnie!

I was so happy to see Hilarie and Cori too! 

 I just don't get a chance to see them as much as I would like!  

They are beautiful!

I had to chase Madison down to get a photo!

She can't out run me!  I caught her and got my photo!

At the end of the shower we gathered a few of the gals for a quick photo-op!

It was a great visit - I'll be back in June for the wedding -- see you then!  

Getting into this blog thing

I decided if I'm going to do this "blog" - I'll do it right.

 So I got in touch with a photographer I happen to know and she took a picture of Wayne and I special for this blog!

I also added a photo to my profile.. 

but maybe one you kids could help me get it in the correct place near the top???

Here's a picture of my 5 kids when they were younger. Karen, the oldest, is 12 years old here. Kenny is the baby. Boy, his son Cullen sure does look like him doesn't he? The others pictured here are Joni on the left, Lisa on the right, and Tippy--oops, I mean Jimmy--in the middle.


And here's a very nice Christmas picture! Kenny, I may have to call you again though because I'm not sure the scanner is working properly. Oh, these computers!

Welcome to Grandma Cave Online!

To be honest, I've tried to avoid having to get a blog to keep in touch with my kids, but it's getting harder to avoid! It's the "Secret Shomo Gift Exchange" that put things over the top!

Anyway, I can't guarantee I'll blog a lot. Email me or Kenny if you'd like to be able to post pictures of me or stories about me on this site (but be nice and keep it clean, please!).
